My story
Hello, I'm Samuel
I was born into the Himba community in northern Namibia, and I have always had a deep and personal connection with the land, its people, traditions and wildlife.
I began my career as a local guide, sharing my knowledge of the Kunene region and the Himba way of life with travellers from around the world. Over the years, my experience, knowledge and passion for my country led me to become a national guide, giving me the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Namibia.
My experience now extends far beyond the Kunene region. I have travelled and guided visitors across Namibia, from the remote landscapes of the Kaokoveld and Skeleton Coast to Etosha, Damaraland, the Namib Desert and the southern regions of the country.
I have also gained extensive experience travelling through Botswana, discovering its extraordinary wilderness areas, wildlife and local communities.
Today, I combine my professional experience as a guide with my Himba heritage and intimate knowledge of Namibia and its neighbouring countries.
“For me, guiding is not simply about taking people from one tourist site to another. I want to help travellers discover the real Namibia and Botswana: their landscapes, wildlife, cultures, traditions and lesser-known places.”
Whether exploring remote areas, observing wildlife or meeting local communities, I aim to share my knowledge, experience and love for this part of Africa, while helping each traveller experience Southern Africa in an authentic and respectful way.
